Not exactly — and that's the point. VSRelay isn't a mobile editor. It's a control plane for the Claude Code agent running in VS Code or Cursor on your real machine. People sometimes call this “VS Code mobile”; what they usually want is to control their session remotely, which is what VSRelay does.

Do I need SSH or port forwarding?

No. Pair your phone with a short code and connect over your LAN or through a trusted relay — no tunnels, no port forwarding.

Does my laptop need to stay on?

For direct control, your editor needs to be running. With Cloud Continue (opt-in beta), an always-on twin on your own host keeps the agent working after you close the laptop.

Is my code sent to the cloud?

No. Your code stays on your machine. Over LAN there's no server in the path; through the relay, it forwards bytes without inspecting or storing your code (TLS in transit; end-to-end encryption is on the roadmap).
